Geesh...

We just had to send the boys to bed early. Ryan threw a tantrum as did Jack for a different reason. Ryan lost out on getting to do a book order that he had really looked forward to putting in tomorrow because some bad behavior. It was sad to do it. I gave Ryan $10 to use to figure out what books to buy from his Scholastic Book order form that the school hands out. He loves to read and so this is a big deal. He goes over the short catalogue over and over again marking and remarking those books that he wants. I tried to also get him to use math to stick to a budget and learn a little something about money. But, due to circumstances that were in his control, he will miss out. I really wanted to figure out a way to reverse what was the obvious punishment due to the circumstances, but really it had to be done. He screamed and cried for around an hour. Still, he thought we were being totally unfair despite his behavior (which I won't get into here). Sometimes being a parent sucks.

Jack was really just over tired. He threw a "fit" as he calls it, and despite some opportunities to redeem himself he also was banished to an early bedtime. (sigh)

Oh, and Colin also started acting up, but that has been more normal lately. He can be quite stubborn. Did someone put something in the water? Are they on drugs? Geesh.

It's life. And it's what helps little boys become good men. Love you!
