Ryan, Jack and I went to the Portland Timbers soccer team opener. The boys have never been to any sort of professional game before in any sport. They really didn't care much about the game itself. They were marginally interested in the game at first but they weren't really into it. They were into the rest of it: hot dogs from the vender with a cart across the street from the stadium; get plastic trumpets to make noise during the game; getting licorice, cotton candy and fresh squeezed lemonade from the guys walking around in the stands hawking the unhealthy, but fun stuff.
It was a good time. We got there early because we were there as a part of a large group--our local soccer club went as a group and there were some pre-game activities that we wanted to take part in. The boys were done as halftime neared, so we left.
Here are a few pictures taken with my phone.
