As noted in the prior post we didn’t sleep much. We all lagged for some parts of the day, often at different times though. I was totally spent this morning. I feel asleep sitting upright on a wooden bench that had no right to be as comfortable as it was while we were messing around the Fort Wilderness Resort while we waiting for our cabin to be prepared. Jack was dozing during a 15 minute bus ride after lunch. Bridget has been struggling at various times during the day. I saw Ryan nod off here and there too. Maddie was out for good as of 8:15 here, which is 5:15 in Oregon. Colin seems to be the one that survived best.
Breakfast is below. It was from PJ’s Southern Takeout. Pretty much the only restaurant here in Fort Wailderness. It was good though. We recommend it.
We checked in at about 12pm. The cabin is great. Small but we fit fine. It seems pretty well built too. We recommend this place too. However, bring your condiments. Not even salt and pepper are provided with the kitchen. You do get coffee, sugar and non dairy creamer if that’s your thing. We are very happy to be here over the Art of Animation Resort we had originally booked. Plus, we have golf carts here (had to rent them though).
We ordered groceries from Amazon Fresh but they were not due until between 4pm and 6pm. We decided to head to Disney Springs, which is the outdoor mall that is near the parks. We are pizza because that was the one thing everyone would agree to eat but the thing that only 1 or 2 people really wanted. It was Blaze pizza. sort of like Mod Pizza but not quite as good, IMO. While there we did a little shopping. The boys spent some of there own money. I did buy Maddie some ear, but Dalmatian ears instead of Mickey or Minnie Mouse ears. The had grad hats so we bought one to give Ryan.
We spent $150 on two meals today. We spent $130 (including tip) for enough food to last us through all of our breakfasts, 2 dinners and a few lunches. Plus a good amount of snacks. Eating in is good even if Amazon Fresh costs a fair amount more (but they are delivering) than Winco or Fred Meyer.
Tomorrow we have a plan for attacking Disney Hollywood Studios. Hope is goes well!
